Need Support or Know Someone Who Does?
How we can help you
We help support families who are struggling to cope for a variety of reasons, such as post-natal illness, disability, isolation, domestic abuse, poverty, bereavement, multiple births etc. We help to prevent these difficulties from growing into crises and possibly resulting in family breakdown.
Families are able to self refer, but the majority of referrals are received from Health Visitors, Community Mental Health Teams, Midwives, Social Care Services, GPs and Headteachers. A Family Referral Application form can be requested from the office or printed ⇒here⇐.
Upon referral, one of our co-ordinators will make an appointment with the family for a home visit to assess specific needs and, if we can help, will subsequently arrange a meeting with a volunteer who will work with the family for as long as our support is needed.
