Dinner Dance Success!!
This Saturday (4th Feb) saw our 5th annual Charity Dinner Dance, once again held at Brett Vale Golf Club.
It was a very enjoyable evening, with a three course meal catered by the Black Jacket Chef, and music by local band, Bits and Pieces. There were a number of fund raising activities during the evening, including a Heads & Tails game, gift tree, silent auction, bucket prize, and of course the main draw, for which tickets have been sold since December.
At this moment in time, it looks like we have raised just under £5,000, which is amazing. So very many thanks to everyone who supported the event, whether you sold raffle tickets, donated draw prizes, brought your friends along, or just came and enjoyed yourselves, THANK YOU.

Tea and Toast
We continue to attend Tea and Toast run by Cherry Blossom Children’s Centre at Shotley Primary School, in order to provide a Home-Start presence, which has proved extremely beneficial.
Shotley Family Group
Shotley Family Group will be opening twice a month from 8th November until the end of March 2012. After Christmas we will be in a position to determine if there is a need for the group to continue. We have been fortunate that Kidzone will let us use their premises free of charge and the Children’s Centre have allowed our group to use their toys etc. Many thanks to them.
Support to Army Families
We continue to visit The Hive (army house) in Hadleigh and have recently started visiting the Mother and Toddlers group on the base at Wattisham, which we will continue to do on a monthly basis alternating between a Monday and Thursd
Thankyou to Ridgeons
Many thanks to Ridgeons for sponsoring £300 towards our volunteer expenses, courtesy of a donation from their community fund.
